“ANNOUNCEMENT: Captain Planet Builds MLM Business”

I’m puzzled.

For some time now, I’ve asked myself this question:

“Why is it that everyone agrees that a funded proposal like Magnetic Sponsoring is a great idea, but some get no leads, no sales, and make no money–while others get tens or hundreds of leads a day and earn thousands in commissions?”

So I ran a survey and asked, “What’s your biggest frustration or problem preventing you from getting the results you want?”

And the number of responses I received was OVERWHELMING. A few questions came up over and over again. Here they are:

• I’m overloaded with information, where do I start?
• I don’t have enough time to do business, but I really want to progress, what can I do?
• I’m confused and I’m lacking technical skills, what can I do to move forward anyway?
• I don’t have much money to invest in building my business, what can I do to advance my business without breaking the bank?

“Info Overload - I’m Confuzzled!”

There’s actually a very simple solution to ALL these problems and frustrations. If you follow this recommendation, I promise you will start to see results in your business today.

First, understand that you don’t need to know everything about everything, you don’t have to have a complete amazing website setup, and you don’t have to understand the ins and outs of the entire marketing process. You don’t have to know all the lead generation techniques, you don’t need huge financial investment, and you don’t even need to spend a lot of time on your business.

Here’s what you should do. It’s dead simple!

SKIM all the information that you normally read. Of course you should read it, but don’t worry about the confusing, “scary” details. You don’t have to understand or implement any of it right now so just let it pass through your head and get the essence of the information or training.

Now as soon as you see something that excites you or something you see is easy enough for you to implement right now–go and implement it. I don’t care how basic or easy the thing is, just start.

Stop making excuses and not taking action. Pick the easiest, simplest thing you can find and do that one thing as soon as you learn it. Don’t worry about getting it perfect or even about doing it right. Just start it right now, not tomorrow, not on the weekend, not “when you get some time”. RIGHT NOW, as soon as you finish this article.

What’s the absolute worst thing that can happen if you make a mistake? You’ll learn a lesson about one thing that doesn’t work. Do a little dance when you stuff up. Get out of your chair, do a big whoop, and jump in the air.

Congratulations! The mistake is the first sign you’re moving in the right direction. How do I know?

Simple.

Running the Obstacle Course

Think of your business as an obstacle course. If you’re not running the course, the obstacles are meaningless. They don’t bother you and they’re not in your way. But if you’re trying to get to the end of the obstacle course, and you’re right at the beginning, the first obstacle is going to get in your way. That’s mistake #1 in your business.

When you get up and work a way around Obstacle #1, you’ll run for half a meter and then run into Obstacle #2. The only way to get to the end is to get over every single hurdle on the way.

So now you pick the easiest thing that excites you from what you read. Then you started to implement it immediately.

But no sooner do you start, when you run into a problem and you’re stuck. What next?

Go back to the email newsletter, article, eBook or whatever that gave you that advice and read just the information relevant to what you chose. But read now more closely because the details have context with your problem.

Before you started implementing, that extra information was just scattering your focus. It was meaningless. But now that you ran into a problem, you have a context to address. Suddenly that detail that you skimmed over is important. But until this point, it was irrelevant and only served to confuse you!

You need to learn to ignore it until it means something to you.

Obviously you won’t always get all the information you need from the same source. That’s when you need to tap into your Master Mind.

Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Heart!

What’s a Master Mind? That’s a kind of super-mind. Remember Captain Planet? “EARTH!” “FIRE!” “WIND!” “WATER!…” “HEART!” “Go Planet!” “By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!”

When each of the five heroes of the cartoon faced a pollution villain, they would use their individual power to fight. While most of the time, their individual power was good enough to fight the villain’s henchmen, they always combined their powers to battle the toughest villain of all at the end.

A Master Mind is really your potential to use your own expertise in a single area and combine forces with other experts to create a single, united, super mind called the Master Mind.

If you’re a beginner just starting out and you don’t know where to go, it’s because your individual power isn’t enough to do battle alone against the villain-obstacle you ran into. Your super-mind is only made up of your single mind.

You have to now grow that mind. When you learn from someone else, it’s like they’re lending you their mind to use. This builds up your super-mind to include another person’s powers, or their knowledge and skills. It compounds their knowledge with yours into a united force of knowledge and skills.

There’s just two ways to add to your Master Mind and that’s to (1) either learn another expert’s knowledge or (2) hire it.

Obviously the first option costs time. While the second option costs money. Depending on which of those two resources you want to conserve, you have to make a trade-off. You either spend the time or you spend the money. You can’t get the extra power without the trade-off.

Can Learn to Build Capture Pages

Here’s an example. Let’s say while reading the MLM Traffic Formula, you liked the idea of creating your own capture page. This seems easy to do and a logical starting point–so you set out to try to create one.

No sooner do you decide to start, when you realise you have a problem.

What should you use to create the capture page? Look back at that section of the course and see if there are any recommendations. And there are in this case. But suppose it’s not there.

If you have the time to spare, you can find another tutorial that goes over the basics of webpage creation and LEARN the knowledge that’s missing from your super-mind arsenal. Or if you don’t have much time to spare to learn how to do it, you can find an expert of web-pages and hire them to do it for you.

Suppose you chose to spend the time to learn the skill. You can still find someone who knows all about it and ask them a simple and specific question. For example:

“Hey, what program do you use to make web-pages?”

The expert might respond, “I use Microsoft FrontPage”.

Rather than waste your precious time and energy just doing useless STRESSING about the fact that you received five training E-Mails today that you don’t understand, and rather than stressing about how you don’t know where to start–instead, take another useful step of action. Track down a copy of Front Page and install it on your computer. I don’t think you need to be a tech genius to buy Front Page from your local computer shop. And if you’re reading this right now, I imagine you know how to put the CD into your drive and follow the prompts to install it on your machine, right?

But still, I call those really easy action steps, “USEFUL”.

Next, you try to create a page with Front Page but after you write the text of your headline into the screen, you can’t figure out how to make it big and bold. That’s fine, go back to your web-page expert and say, “Hey, can you show me how to make this piece of text into a big bold headline?”

Most people know people who can answer questions like this for them. And most of the time you can tap into their knowledge for free without spending a cent.

By the time a few days have passed, with one tiny step of action every day, asking the right questions, you’ll be excited because you actually made some decent progress. And your Master Mind grows as it accumulates the knowledge and skills of various people who are usually very willing to help!

“Boohoo…I’m Stuck”

But do you know what most people do? After taking no action for months, with a sudden burst of emotions, they’ll go to the one person who really wants to help. Then they say, “I’m stuck. My business isn’t growing and there’s so much information, it’s so confusing and I don’t know where to start!”

I get this kind of email all the time. And honestly, it saddens me because, even though i really want to help these people, I have no idea what they need help with. How can I help them when I don’t know what they’re stuck on? What they’re really stuck on is their fear of making a single move. They’re afraid that it will be wrong. So what? Let it be wrong, it’ll give you the next question you need to ask (or research).

Now that you know the formula, I ask you to take one single step of action RIGHT now. Don’t put it off, just think of the one thing in the Magnetic Sponsoring backoffice training that you think would be easy to do. Then start there. The rest of the questions you need answered will come to you in just MINUTES.

When you have your next question, pick up the phone and call any of the experts on the forum. Even if they don’t know the answer, they’ll surely point you in the right direction.

That’s how you grow your Master Mind. That’s how you build your business.
